If you can’t visit a branch or carry books home for at least three months because of illness, injury or disability, staff deliver books and other library materials to your home every four weeks, and you help choose them. Audiobooks and accessible technology are available for people who can’t read regular print, and book collections can be delivered to care homes. Call 604-331-4100 or email accessible@vpl.ca to register, or visit the department on Level 3 of the Central Library.

Free drop-in help with your laptop, tablet, smartphone or e-reader, in a small, casual group at the Central Library. Bring your device and your questions about the internet, email or social media, and library staff will help. No registration needed. Sessions are usually on Tuesdays from 2pm to 3pm: check the VPL events calendar for dates.

Free digital creation space on Level 3 of the Central Library. Turn old photos, slides and film negatives, cassette and reel-to-reel tapes, VHS and camcorder tapes, or floppy disks into digital files, or use computers with photo, video and sound editing software and the sound booths.
