Vancouver Seniors is run by one person, the site's owner, in British Columbia. It is not a company, society or charity.

Entries are services run by others. Vancouver Seniors is independent and is not connected to them. Details can change, so please contact a service before you go.

Links to other websites

Entries link to other websites. The Map and Directions buttons open Google Maps, Apple Maps or TransLink. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

What we collect and why

Browsing the site. You don't need an account. The site counts visits anonymously so we can improve it: pages viewed, the type of device, and the country and province. The counts don't include your name or your internet address. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Messages you send. If you use the Contact form or Share Feedback, we keep your message and any name, email address or phone number you choose to give. We use them only to read your message, reply to you, and correct entries. We don't sell or share them.

Your location. Near Me uses your location on your own device only, if you allow it. Directions from your location send it to Google Maps or TransLink. Map address search sends the address you type to the Government of BC's address service. None of these are sent to us.

On your own device. Your text-size choice and My List are saved in your own browser. We can't see them.

How we protect it

Messages are stored with the companies that host the site and its database. The database is in Canada. Only the site's owner can read them.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
