BC Bus Pass Program (60+)
Provides low-cost annual transit passes for eligible older adults, making it easier to get around Metro Vancouver using buses, SkyTrain, and SeaBus. Applications can be completed online, by phone, or by mail. You’ll need basic information such as your SIN, date of birth, and contact details. The pass costs $45 per year and is valid for the full calendar year. If your pass is lost or stolen, it can be replaced for a fee. Additional documents may be required for those who have lived in Canada for less than 10 years or who are applying through a First Nations band office.

HandyDART is a shared, door-to-door accessible transit service for people whose disability or health condition prevents them from using conventional public transit without assistance. To register, complete the HandyDART and HandyCard Application Form, partly filled out by a healthcare professional, through TransLink's Access Transit program. Call 604-953-3680 for help with the application. HandyDART approval takes about 10 days, a HandyCard 4-6 weeks. Once registered, book trips by calling 604-575-6600 (or 1-844-475-6600 toll-free) up to seven days ahead. Fares match regular transit fares, with a lower rate for riders 65 and older.
-
Seniors 65 and older pay a reduced concession fare on TransLink buses, SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express. A concession Compass Card and valid photo ID showing age are required to get the discount, and regular tap-to-pay bank or credit cards cannot be used for the concession rate. Concession Compass Cards are available wherever Compass Cards are sold. Call TransLink for help getting a card or adding fare.
