Ask an Advocate
Free online information to help people understand and apply for disability benefits, income assistance and other income-support programs, and understand tenancy rights, in British Columbia. The website has FAQs, quick-reference guides, fact sheets, forms, and links to other resources, so people can advocate for themselves. Because of reduced funding, the phone line and live chat have been discontinued. Questions go through an online contact form, and replies may take time due to limited staff. Also trains community service providers on benefits and tenancy issues.
